The aim of this introductory chemistry course is to give students an appreciation and basic understanding of variety fields in chemistry. Subjects covered include, stoichiometry, atomic structure and periodicity, bonding, gases, chemical equilibrium. This course also will explore acids and bases and their application as well as the application of aqueous equilibria. Chemistry 110, gives students a comprehensive overview of chemical science, in addition to providing a necessary introduction for further courses in chemistry. Laboratory work: students have to attend 3 hours per week. The laboratory work will help students to understand the behavior of chemical reactions and some of the basic techniques associated with analytical and quantitative chemical experiments.
